Côte d azur

Сôte d azur France!

Representations of the French and, say, the same Turks on beach holidays diverge
in the most radical way.

Rest on the coasts of France - it's a holiday in the resort towns with a rich history
and a lot of attractions and entertainment.
Often the sea here is not the most important thing.
Resort cities consist of hotels, shops, restaurants, cafes, discos, casinos.

Almost everyone has their own embankment dividing the city and the sea,
and between the embankment and the hotels there is a highway.

The Cote d'Azur is the famous southern region of France, stretching along the
Mediterranean Sea from
Marseille to the border with Italy.
The beautiful climate, picturesque nature,
the warm sea and fashionable hotels make it a favorite vacation spot for wealthy people

The Côte d'Azur annually attracts 18 million tourists from all over the world.

Beaches

On the west of Nice (Cannes, Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, Saint-Tropez) there are sandy beaches, in the same Nice and further towards Italy they are pebbled. In Monaco - loose sandy beaches. Unlike the Atlantic coast, the beaches on the Cote d'Azur are not very wide: 30-40 meters. All beaches are municipal. However, every 4-5 years a part of the beaches is played at auction. Hotels or simply rich people (those who are engaged in this business), having won an auction, receive a certain piece of beach for rent. The entrance to it becomes paid (about 20 EUR per day). This price includes the use of a sunbed, umbrella, mattress and shower. On the nearby free beaches there are no equipment, but, as a rule, more people. All 4 * hotels provide their guests a 50% discount on the use of a paid beach.

Sights

The Cote d Azur is rich in sights. Distances between resort towns are small (from Nice to Cannes - 30 km, to Monaco - 10 km), and living in the same city, you can see all the rest. The city-fortress of Saint-Paul-de-Vence (there are many art galleries and workshops here), the medieval town of Eze, Beaulieu-sur-Mer near Nice, the pine groves in the vicinity of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Marinland "(water slides," sea waves ", walks along the seabed among sharks, a show with dolphins and killer whales, a museum of the sea, an" aquarium "). The Cote d'Azur borders on the Ligurian coast of Italy. Renting a car, you can see Genoa, San Remo and other pearls of the "Great Boot".

Saint-Paul-de-Vence is a fortress town, located on a rocky promontory between two valleys, in which the workshops of artists and sculptors are located behind the walls of medieval facades. Almost every house has a souvenir shop here, and flowers on every house. Hotel "Golden Dove", in which many famous people stayed, thanks to the paintings of famous artists became a real museum. Next to it is the Museum of Musical Instruments of 1750. On the outskirts of the city is the Maekhta Foundation - a magnificent synthesis of works of art and exhibition space. The complex is surrounded by a pine grove, in which moving sculptures are located. The outdoor swimming pools of the complex are decorated with a mosaic of Chagall (he is buried in the local cemetery) and Marriage, and the Labyrinth in it is sculpted and ceramics of Miró. Duration of the tour is 4 hours.

Hotels

The vast majority of hotels have air conditioning, but few have a swimming pool.
Since many resorts were built in the XIX century, and pools were attached to them much later,
often the pools are located on the roofs of hotels. In general, high-level hotels.
The fewer stars, the smaller the area of the room, there are no large areas (hotels of urban type).
